Individual Membership Benefits
Insurance Members insurance includes; World Wide cover and £5 million Public Liability indemnity for all shotgun sports. As a member your insurance will cover, Clays, Game and Rough Shooting, Wild Fowling, Rifle including Stalking, Fishing, hunting (not mounted) Falconry and Coursing.
Coaching Members are entitled to attend "Coaching Courses" organised by the SCTA and receive a discounted rate at all levels from "Novice" to "Olympic Standard". All of the courses are held at SCTA Affiliated Grounds where the specific equipment relevant to each discipline is available.
Courses Safety Courses are offered to members and this takes place at SCTA Affiliated clubs that apply for this facility. Referee Courses are available to all individual members to assist them in understanding the Technical Rules and Regulations of the sport. Regarded as one of the most popular courses supplied by the SCTA
Legislation The SCTA represents its members in combating any possible anti-clay target and shotgun legislation
Shooting Clays in Scotland There are many hundreds of organised SCTA events throughout the year, in every area of Scotland and affiliated organisations hold "Club and Open Shoots" for anyone wishing to enter
National and International Events The SCTA organises National Events for its members offering a route to International competitions where the members can represent Scotland and even progress to Commonwealth Games Standards if so desired.
Membership Membership fees are very reasonable and possibly considered the very best value for Shotgun Shooting in Scotland. More information is available on www.scta.co.uk
Scottish Shooting Magazine The SCTA Magazine "On Target" is available to all members. It contains the latest information what's going on in Scotland, recent news items from championships etc, and important information from the SCTA Management Board.
Members' Rights Every member of the SCTA has the right to attend the Association AGM, and is encouraged to do so offering their opinion on any aspect of the governance of their Association. Each member of the Association and has one vote.

Assistance The numerous benefits to Affiliated Clubs are most important in this modern age where there is so much responsibility involved in the running of any organisation. The SCTA aims to assist all affiliated clubs to understand and implement any legislation affecting the day to day running of their clay shooting activities.
Managing a Club The SCTA will assist in the setting up of the administration and layouts of a club who may wish to affiliate. It is extremely important that persons wishing to form a club do so correctly from the outset and are aware of the safety and legislation aspects of their project.
Information Courses For example "Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection Information" and "Health and Safety" seminars are available to club officials.
